Basic war mechanics
Each military unit has 2 stats: Attack and Defense.
Some units also have a third stat: Bombing.
For example, a Heavy Infantry unit has 8 Attack and 4 Defense.
When an attack is launched, the total value of all attacking units' attack stats is compared with the total defense of the defending army.
If the attacking army's attack stat exceeds the defending army's defense stat then the attacking army wins the battle.
Example
Attacking army: 10 Heavy Infantry units.
Attacking military power: 10(unit quantity) x 8(Attacking power per unit) = 80 (total attacking military power)
Defending Army: 5 Commando units.
Defending military power: 5(unit quantity) x 11(Defending power per unit) = 55 (total defending military power)
The attacking army's attack stat (80) is higher than the defending army's defense stat (55) and so the attacking army wins.
The greater the difference in stats, the fewer casualties the winning army takes and the more casualties the losing army takes.
Units Damage Bonuses
Diversity Bonus: When any mechanized and infantry units are attacking or defending together, the entire army receives a +20% boost to its attack or defense stat respectively.
For example, an army consisting of Conscript Infantry and Heavy Tanks will have a +20% boost to their attack or defense stat if fighting against an army of solely Light Tanks.
Specific unit combination bonuses:
Infantry and Light tanks +15% defending points to those 2 units
Commandos and Tank Destroyer + 15% defending points to those 2 units
Heavy Infantry and Heavy Tanks +15% attacking points to those 2 units
Marines and Super-Heavy Tanks +15% attacking points to those 2 units
Bombing stat is used for calculating damaged buildings and population losses.
To damage a building, attack type bombing must be used, and at least 6k total bombing power.
Multiple buildings can be damaged in a single attack (12k bombing power will damage 2 random buildings in the selected enemy region).
There are 2 air force attack types: dogfight and air strike.
Dogfight will damage enemy's defending air force, while air strike will damage buildings.
If a building gets damaged in a battle, it will lose a level and building's status will shift to 'damaged'.
As long as a building is in the damaged status, it wont lose further levels, but it will also not produce anything.
To repair a building, simply click on it, and look for the 'Repair' button.
