During our first public VC debate about game features and mechanics, which was great, and will be planned more often, we have concluded a couple of things:
1. Inactive nations stay in-game, as a mean of faster growth and development for active nations, and we can use them for holding events.
2. We confirmed the need of having something over which players would compete. The solution for that will be weekly alliance events, with their unique and limited rewards (more details in a new post).
3. War feature & score calculations need further improvements:
- Instead of destroying always fixed just one level of a building, no matter what building it is, we will add a new formula which calculates how much damage can the attacking force do, and destroy corresponding levels of buildings.
This means that, for example, 100 super heavy tanks may have enough bombing power to destroy farm level 10 and level 9, because that building is cheap and those levels are low.
However, to destroy a level 30 Commercial Airport, you will need, for example, 1000 Stealth bombers, or 3000 Super heavy tanks.
The formula will work like this, 1 bombing stat will have assigned how much resources that is used to build buildings it can destroy.
Example:
1 bombing stat destroys 100 money and 50 of all other resources.
100 bombing power then can destroy a building that is payed for up to 10000 money and 5000 of all other resources.
Score will also have to be re-done, because right now, all buildings add the same amount of score, no matter if its a wonder or a farm level 1.
The score will be calculated in a similar way- buildings that worth more resources, will add more score than those that worth less.
Thats the general idea, more details in following weeks, as the free market feature is next in line for development.
